Antique apothecary and pot lid Collector
Welcome
This page has been constructed by a long time collector to provide a small insight into pharmacy history and into the products and items used and sold by pharmacies, mainly during Victorian times. Pharmacy history is not just about the drugs used but also about the science, medical principles, instruments used and very importantly the relationship between the practitioners and the public. It is also a reflection on how the profession evolved into what it is today.
The page displays many photos that form part of a single owner collection. If you have a similar item you want to sell, or simply want to ask a question about its history or a valuation, please use the contact page to send a message! There is no charge or commissions involved that you may see on similar sites, always willing to help you get the best return for your items.
I am particularly interested in bears grease monochrome and coloured prattware pot lids, advertising pot lids, Warners Safe Cure bottles and Western Australian chemist related items.
This page is currently under construction, with more items and information being added all the time.
